Mayor's Welcome

Mayor Bill Schickel

The Ride of the Century:

Where the road ends, the fun begins!

Ge ready to experience the famous hospitality Mason City is so well known for, beautifully captured in the adjacent logo by artist and RAGBRAI veteran Julie Kim.

The lifestyle travel magazine Conde Nast has taken note of fundamental transformation of our downtown. It twice named Mason City “one of the 20  best cities in the world for architecture lovers.”

The treasured Historic Park Inn Hotel is the last remaining Frank Lloyd Wright designed hotel in the world.  You will find a cluster of Prairie School homes in the Rock Crest/Rock Glen Neighborhood. The Robert E. McCoy Architectural Interpretive Center stands adjacent to Frank Lloyd Wright’s Stockman House. This educational command post dispenses information about the city’s extraordinary architectural heritage. Not to mention Music Man Square named in honor of Mason City native son and composer Meredith Willson.

A festival for your eyes and ears. That’s how Frank Lloyd Wright famously described architecture and music.

Welcoming to the festival!

If you have questions about all the extraordinary work and living opportunities in Mason City, just ask. We all love telling the River City comeback story.
